Screening: Health Risk Assessments (HRA)

The program starts with a screening. After all, how do you know where you're going, if you don't know where you are?

What the employees get: Participants start by completing a detailed questionnaire to help identify personal health risks. ProHealth Works staff will come to the workplace to measure height, weight, blood pressure, and take a small blood sample to check cholesterol and glucose levels. This data is combined with the answers from the questionnaire to create a customized Personal Health Report. In addition to the results of the testing and the questionnaire, the report also provides easy-to-understand, step-by-step guides on how the participant can modify unhealthy lifestyle characteristics. These reports are strictly confidential, and are mailed directly to the participant's home. The employer never sees the individual results.

What the employer gets:  The employer receives a Group Health Report summary without names. For example, the summary report shows the percentage of employees who have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc. Employers can use this data to help select workplace wellness programs that will be most beneficial for their employees. ProHealth Works staff will work with the employer to understand the report and start the planning process.
