Thank you, thank you for your dedication and work on behalf of our nationally-recognized Regional Cancer Center at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. Your spirit and enthusiasm touches hearts and lives through your efforts to raise funds for clinical research programs, the latest treatment technologies and supportive services to help patients and their families through the challenges related to a cancer diagnosis.
When you register for LakeWalk, your registration fee helps pay the overhead costs of running the walk. But it is the pledges you raise that support the Regional Cancer Center. Pledges are the key to helping the Regional Cancer Center, and getting pledges has never been easier or more convenient. These pledges or donations are tax-deductible as prescribed by law.
Our online fundraising tools are secure - promoting confidence for those who pledge for you.

People can't donate if they don't know you are walking!
Talk about LakeWalk with everyone you come in contact with. Talk to your grocer, doctor, nurses, dentist, etc. Ask them if they would be willing to support your efforts. Here are some suggestions to get you started. (Please email additional ideas to: omhfoundation@phci.org)

If you know a rock band, barn dance caller, jazz group, disco DJ or string quartet, ask them if they will do a benefit evening for LakeWalk at a local club or coffeehouse.Post an LakeWalk poster or sign. Put up a note by the elevator, coffee maker, copy machine, vending machine, break room or bathroom letting everyone know that you are LakeWalker for LakeWalk and that you would be grateful for their donation.Collect and recycle aluminum cans. Ask everyone to donate theirs toward your goal. You will be surprised how quickly it adds up.Create a Fundraising Thermometer. Make a poster with a thermometer, your goal being the top, and fill it in as you raise money. If you did the LakeWalk last year, hang up photos.. Get creative! Make sure people know that you are a member of the _______ Team for LakeWalk, and what that means.Organize "Dress Down Days" at Work. Ask management if you can have Dress Down Days to benefit your team at work. Charge people $5 to wear jeans to work on Fridays or any other specified day. This is a quick and easy way to raise big bucks. Everyone wants to be casual at work, help people fulfill their dreams and contribute to a great cause.Karaoke Night. Sell tickets for an evening of awful singing at a local bar or at home. Get people to donate money to stop their friends from singing or have a singing contest. Charge an entry fee and have proceeds from the ticket sales go to your team's LakeWalk fund.
February - Valentine's Day. Set up a self-serve candy box with proceeds going to the LakeWalk. March - March Madness. College hoops are coming your way and they provide an opportunity to raise dinero for your team. Have a basketball tourney with people contributing a suggested amount to participate. Give the winner a cool prize for being victorious! To enhance the festivities, invite members to your house for a basketball viewing party. Supply snacks and entertainment and charge a small cover. April - Earth Day - April 22. Start a recycling program in your office. Take in your aluminum and turn it into funds for the LakeWalk. Every recyclable can, bottle, or box that a person throws away will cost them one dollar. You'll make the world a cleaner place while helping community resident.
