What's Raised Here, Stays Here!

While concern about cancer is nearly universal, the funds from the LakeWalk for Cancer are strictly for our community.

All net proceeds raised at LakeWalk stay here to benefit patients at the nationally-recognized Regional Cancer Center at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.  Your participation, along with pledges you raise and the support of sponsors, helps fund clinical research programs, the latest treatment technologies and supportive services to help patients and their families through the challenges related to a cancer diagnosis.

In fact,

• for every $50 raised, two cancer patients receive supportive care services,
• for every $150 raised, fifteen patients receive Cancer Resource Binders;
• for every $250 raised, six people can be screened for colorectal, prostate or skin cancer,
• for every $500 raised, patients with breast cancer can be offered a dedicated care coordinator that acts as an advocate in care decision making; and finally,
• for every $5,000 raised, two additional patients can participate in clinical cancer research studies offering the best state-of-the-art treatment available in the country.
