Cancer is part of life for many in our community.  It will touch almost one of every four lives and about one out of every 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.  Cancer is the leading cause of death in people under the age of 85.  LakeWalk has been organized to change these statistics.  In 2010,  more than 2,600 LakeWalkers raised $165,000 to benefit local cancer research, education and supportive services at the Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital - Regional Cancer Center.

Being a sponsor provides a good investment for your business and your community.  As a sponsor, your business will be highlighted not only to the 2,600 Walkers who attend the event, but to their many friends, relatives and colleagues who see the materials, T-shirt and ads.  This display of community commitment will also help raise funds to support state-of-the-art cancer treatments that offer access to the most advanced, clinically approved treatments available.  In addition, LakeWalk funds help support programs that bring together vast resources to provide personalized care, comfort and support to patients and their families.  To learn more about the Regional Cancer Center, click here,
