On July 6, 2008, friends, employees, and physicians of Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital gathered to celebrate the many years of joy, laughter and tears within the original 1952 Hospital building. Memories were shared and a prayer was made to bless the construction of a new Hospital bed tower.  Bricks from the building that had been removed to make way for the new patient bed tower were offered as mementoes.

Pictured below are John Robertstad, President & CEO of the Hospital presenting a brick to Gert A. Wilkinson, whose father was instrumental in the building of the original hospital.  Ms. Wilkinson offered her memories and noted how appropriate it was that the footprint of the old hospital is the site of the new patient bed tower.
