  • Reach Out and Read

Racing for Reading

This year, for the third year, residents, faculty members and friends of the Waukesha Family Practice Residency Program will take part in the Ragnar Relay- a 200 mile relay race from Madison to Chicago, to raise money for Reach Out and Read.

And they need your help.

Reach Out and Read is a national, nonprofit organization that promotes early literacy by giving new books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud in pediatric exam rooms across the nation.  The program provides children with new, developmentally appropriate books at each of their well child visits from the age of six months through five years old.

By sponsoring a runner, or the team, you can make a difference in the life of a child and our community.  Your gift will provide critical program support to Reach Out and Read, and allow us to continue providing books to these children at each of their visits.

Please visit our donation page here to make a gift.  You'll need to select "Other" on the drop down "Donating to" menu, and then type "Reach Out and Read Relay".  If you are choosing to support a specific racer, please enter their name as well.
