Waukesha Community Health Center

In 2008, downtown Waukesha was declared a "medically underserved population." To remedy this situation, ProHealth Care partnered with Sixteenth Street Community Health Center in Milwaukee to bring a medical home to members of the Waukesha community.

Currently, there are a handful of options for the under and uninsured to utilize, but the resources are being stretched thin, and those in need are growing beyond the capacity of these organizations. By opening a community health center in downtown Waukesha, many individuals who previously had nowhere to turn will now have an option for their health care.

To date, the Waukesha Memorial Hospital Foundation has raised over $2.1 million toward the $2.3 million goal to make this clinic a reality. The clinic has begun construction, and aims to be open by late summer of 2012. Contact the Waukesha Memorial Hospital Foundation to learn more about this project, or to make a gift in support of this initiative.
