Published on January 27, 2012
OCONOMOWOC, WI – ProHealth Care announced today the unexpected results of the recent AngelsGrace Hospice Holiday of Hope, year-end gift campaign. The campaign raised more than $250,000, thanks to donations from the community and a challenge grant from the Walter L. & Grace M. Merten Charitable Trust, which doubled the year-end gifts.
The original challenge grant was to match up to $50,000 in donations. However, due to overwhelming response from donors the Merten Trust announced it will match the entire $127,600 in gifts.
“During a time when many organizations are struggling to meet their fundraising goals, this is a testament to how valued AngelsGrace is in the community,” said Bob Walters, director of ProHealth Home Care & Hospice. “The Merten Trust has been a dedicated supporter of AngelsGrace since its inception and we are honored to have its continued generous support.”
Gifts to AngelsGrace make a difference in the lives of hospice patients and their families. The year-end campaign allows the community to support quality, dignified end-of-life care for all people regardless of age, diagnosis or financial resources. AngelsGrace is largely supported by public and private contributions, memorials, sponsorships and community fundraising events.
AngelsGrace Hospice is a part of ProHealth Home Care & Hospice, which offers home care services, in-home hospice care and inpatient hospice care at AngelsGrace. For information about AngelsGrace Hospice, visit www.angelsgracehospice.org
