Our New Sleep Center Determined the Cause of Daytime Exhaustion

A local police officer for 24 years, David Sallmann practices blacksmithing as a hobby to relax. But up until recently, he was a long way from feeling rested.

A chronic problem of not sleeping well and feeling exhausted in the morning motivated him to seek help at ProHealth Care's Sleep Center. He knew he snored loudly, and sometimes woke up abruptly, gasping for air. But one night at the Sleep Center uncovered the fact that he actually stopped breathing 44 times that night, once for 19 seconds - classic symptoms of sleep apnea.

David felt very relaxed the moment he met Cyndy, the Sleep Center's polysomnography technologist. "She was just awesome. She was very nice, and explained everything. This is important when you're sleeping in a different bed and someone is monitoring you." He was fitted with a breathing mask, and now everyone in his house sleeps better.

Our brand new Sleep Center has just opened near Hwys. 94 and 83 in Delafield. Accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, it's been designed to treat a wide range of disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, periodic limb movement/restless legs syndrome, sleepwalking, REM behavior disorder and night terrors.
