The prestigious American Diabetes Association (ADA) Education Recognition Certificate for a quality diabetes self-management education program was recently awarded to ProHealth Care’s Waukesha and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospitals for high-quality education that is an essential component of effective diabetes treatment.
ADA’s diabetes education recognition indicates that the program meets national standards for diabetes self-management education programs. Waukesha Memorial first earned recognition in 1995. Oconomowoc Memorial originally earned recognition in 2006.
“I am very proud of the diabetes team for its commitment to providing high-quality, cost-effective education, management and foot care services to our patients with diabetes,” says Donna Voigt, A.P.N.P., manager of ProHealth Care’s Diabetes Center. “We are changing lives one foot, one life, at a time.”
