ProHealth Care Community Benefits

ProHealth Care has a long history of community involvement. Through our two hospitals and other affiliates, it has been a leader in helping to establish and maintain a variety of programs that address the health care needs of the communities we serve.  Our mission compels us to reach beyond the bedside and help build healthier communities.  Our Community Benefit Plan focuses, in particular, on fostering the development of a "safety net" of health services for disadvantaged people such as the poor and non English speaking.

Key areas of community health care needs

ProHealth Care's community benefit initiatives are coordinated and monitored by the Community Benefit Steering Committee, which is made of up medical staff, board representatives and leaders from throughout ProHealth Care.  Through this committee we have identified the key areas of community health needs as follows:

  • Access to primary care services and a medical home
  • Dental services
  • Effective chronic disease management and support
  • Mental Health services
  • Prevention and early detection

Community Benefit Programs

  • Parish and Community Outreach Nursing
  • Hispanic Community Health Resource Center
  • Waukesha Family Practice and Residency
  • SANE Program (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner)
