Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital

World Class, but Close to Home

Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital's new patient tower allows our caregivers to put you and your family at the center of care in new and exciting ways!

What does the new patient tower project include?

  • We have replaced the outdated original 1952 hospital building with a new inpatient tower and dining area for visitors and employees, enhanced meeting spaces, and general facility upgrades.
  • The renovation project is part of a master facility plan that was initiated more than a decade ago.
  • The new construction will feature many ‘green' elements, like roof gardens.
  • Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital’s new, modern 1st floor dining area.

Features

  • 58 private patient rooms with private bathrooms
  • Space for a family member to stay overnight with the patient
  • Shower rooms for family members to use and large family waiting lounges with kitchenettes

How is the community involved?

The local community has been a key part of Oconomowoc Memorial's development since it opened in 1954, with the majority of construction and equipment costs donated by local community groups, businesses and donors. Since that time, the hospital and community have continued their longstanding partnership, providing input and support.  The current renovation project is no different. The hospital's Patient and Family Centered Care committee comprised of local residents has been integrally involved in the project since its start.

What is Patient and Family Centered Care?

The Patient and Family Centered Care model at Oconomowoc Memorial recognizes the role that families and personal support networks play in enriching the health and well being of patients. That is why we are adding amenities for patient families as well as patients.
