ProHealth Waukesha and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospitals are proud to be designated as Primary Stroke Centers by The Joint Commission


ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital received the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award again in 2018 for emergency department care. The hospital is the fi­rst and only hospital in Wisconsin to receive this honor for 10 consecutive years. Recipients of the award set themselves apart by demonstrating their dedication to creating an extraordinary patient experience. The award is achieved by sustaining a rank above the 95th percentile in the Press Ganey patient satisfaction database for three consecutive years.


ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial and Waukesha Memorial hospitals have been designated as Blue Distinction Centers for maternity care and knee and hip replacement by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Also in 2016, ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital once again received Blue Distinction status for cardiac care. Research confirms that Blue Distinction Centers demonstrate better overall quality for some procedures than non-designated facilities.


ProHealth is recognized as a Truven Health Analytics’ Top Quintile Health System for high achievement in clinical performance, efficiency and patient satisfaction. Only four Wisconsin health care systems were recognized in 2017.


The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association has bestowed its highest recognition, the Get With The Guidelines®– Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award, to the stroke programs at ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital and ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. The award recognizes ProHealth Care’s success in implementing a higher standard of care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted guidelines. In 2018, Waukesha Memorial received the award for the 10th consecutive year and Oconomowoc Memorial received the award for the ninth consecutive year.


ProHealth’s cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation program received certi­fication by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) in recognition of its commitment to improving patient quality of life by enhancing standards of care.


ProHealth has been recognized with echocardiography and vascular lab accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission. IAC accreditation is a means by which facilities can evaluate and demonstrate the level of patient care they provide.

IAC Echocardiography provides accreditation for facilities performing echocardiography. 

IAC Vascular Testing provides accreditation for facilities performing noninvasive vascular diagnostic testing.


ProHealth received Quality Oncology Practice Initiative Certification for its outpatient hematology and oncology practices in 2014 and has maintained the certification.


ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial was the first hospital in the region to acheive certification as a Center of Excellence for Hip and Knee replacement by the Joint Commission. ProHealth Care was also the first health system in Wisconsin to achieve certification when ProHealth Waukesha Memorial was recognized in November of 2011. This nationally recognized certification notes a demonstrated commitment to a higher standard of service.


ProHealth earned the Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer in 2016. Our program is the only one in Wisconsin to achieve this distinction for five consecutive surveys.


The American College of Surgeons recognizes ProHealth Care's breast health program for achieving the highest level of excellence in breast care and outcomes that meet or exceed national benchmarks.


The Multiple Sclerosis Clinic has earned recognition as a comprehensive care center by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
