ProHealth Care offers cancer care and treatment in multiple locations throughout Waukesha County.
Most cancer care is provided on an outpatient basis. Care and treatment are available at:
Sometimes inpatient care is needed for specific cancer treatments, or to manage cancer symptoms or complications. At both of our hospitals, nurses collaborate with physicians and other members of the cancer care team to evaluate and support patients and their families.
Both of our inpatient units offer a comfortable space to recover and receive care. Each private room includes a DVD player, recliner and space for a family member to stay the night. In addition, each unit has a spacious family lounge.
At ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital, inpatient cancer care means specially trained nurses administer and monitor cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy and biologic therapies, which stimulate the body's immune system to act against cancer cells.
At ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, highly skilled nurses are focused on caring for patients with cancer who may need help with managing symptoms and complications related to cancer and its treatment.
At both hospitals, patients with cancer receive post-surgical care. If needed, intensive care units also are available.
