Behavioral health nurse practitioners have advanced training in mental health illness and its effect on other physical conditions such as the heart or blood pressure. They have the clinical expertise to assess, diagnose and treat behavioral health conditions, and can prescribe medications and prefer patients to a therapist for counseling. They are members of a treatment team that provides well-rounded medical care for the whole person.
“I believe in treating patients and their families with respect and compassion. My goal is to educate patients about their conditions and work together to develop treatment plans that balance following their wishes with achieving their health goals.”
Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as traveling to northern Wisconsin.
