Health Insurance

ProHealth Care employees can select from two health plan options, both self-insured - the ProHealth PPO plan or the ProHealth High-Deductible plan - administered through Aetna.  Health insurance is available on the 1^st of the next month, following your start date with ProHealth Care.  Both plans offer many health incentives - our employees are awarded with dollars into their health plans for healthy behaviors.  These dollars can be used to offset the costs of deductibles, co-pays or co-insurance costs.

Flexible Spending Accounts are also available to our employees. Medical spending accounts allow employees to set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible health care expenses such as deductibles, office visits, and prescription co-payments. Dependent care spending accounts can also be used for dependent care expenses such as childcare costs, before- and after-school child care, or elder care.

An Aetna-sponsored Health Savings Account (HSA) is available through the high-deductible plan, operating similar to a Flexible Spending Account, for covering incurred medical expenses during the year.

On-Site, Same-Day Health Care Services 

ProHealth Care's FirstCare program makes a nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) available in four ProHealth Care (PHC) locations to provide health care office visits, free of charge, to employees and their dependents who participate in the PHC health plan. For non-participating employees and dependents, FirstCare services are offered on a fee-for-service basis at two locations, with many insurance plans covered. For all PHC employees, FirstCare is a convenient alternative for those times when a same-day appointment with your primary care physician is not available. 

Dental/Vision Insurance

ProHealth Care provides a dental plan through Delta Dental of Wisconsin and a vision plan through Vision Insurance Plan of America.
