ProHealth Senior Preferred (HMO) available in Waukesha County

Again this year, Gundersen Health Plan will offer a Medicare Advantage Plan in Waukesha County. ProHealth Senior Preferred is an HMO plan with a Medicare contract, and will be offered in partnership with ProHealth Solutions, ProHealth Care’s accountable care organization.

“We will be enrolling ProHealth Senior Preferred members in Waukesha County during the annual open enrollment period starting in October for coverage beginning Jan. 1, 2018,” said Greg Skemp, Vice President, Sales Western Region & Middle Markets for Gundersen Health Plan.

Enrollees in ProHealth Senior Preferred have access to ProHealth Care’s network of physicians, clinics and hospitals.

“Many people purchase health insurance for costs not covered by Medicare,” Skemp explained. “ProHealth Senior Preferred offers a health insurance option for people in Waukesha County who are on Medicare. The available plans provide comprehensive coverage and a variety of pricing options.”

Medicare enrollees will be able to choose among three ProHealth Senior Preferred plans. Participants will be able to select the premium, deductible and out-of-pocket responsibility that works for them, including an option that has no monthly fee.

To help interested individuals learn more about ProHealth Senior Preferred options, the health plan will hold eight free informational seminars in Mukwonago, New Berlin, Oconomowoc and Pewaukee during October. Coverage, costs and the ProHealth Senior Preferred provider network will be discussed during the seminars.

Two seminars are scheduled at ProHealth Care’s D. N. Greenwald Center, 240 Maple Avenue, Mukwonago: from 2 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 9 and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Oct. 11. The seminars will be held in conference rooms A and B on the first floor.

One seminar is scheduled at the New Berlin Community Center, 3805 S. Casper Drive. It will run from 9 to 11 a.m. on Oct. 20 in the Trailside Room.

Two seminars are scheduled at ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, 791 Summit Avenue, Oconomowoc: from 2 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 10 and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Oct. 17. The seminars will be held in the first floor conference room.
