Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)Extreme, unrealistic worry (often about health or money) that lasts six months or more.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)Ongoing, repeated thoughts (obsessions) of overblown fears; the obsession causes people to perform a routine (compulsion) to help ease their anxiety. For example, people who are obsessed with being dirty might wash their hands over and over again.
Panic Disorder Severe episodes of panic that strike with no warning and no reason.Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)Illness following a horrific event, such as an assault; often involves reliving the event through flashbacks or nightmares.Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia)Extreme anxiety about being embarrassed, mocked or judged by others in social or performance situations.Specific Phobias An intense, exaggerated fear of a specific object or situation that is usually not harmful; common phobias include fear of spiders, flying and heights.
