Caring, Trusted Treatment for Postpartum Depression

The birth of a baby is an exciting time. But many women are not prepared for the exhausting wide range of emotions they may experience after childbirth. About 10 to 15 percent of new mothers show symptoms of postpartum depression. This condition interferes with your ability to care for your baby and handle other daily tasks.

ProHealth Care's Behavioral Medicine Center and Women's Center offers the first hospital-based postpartum depression support program in Wisconsin. Treatment is available through our inpatient, partial hospitalization and outpatient programs. Doctors, community agencies, women themselves or family members may refer individuals to the program.
