Nine years ago, Lisa Walk's "normal" pregnancy took a surprise turn when she went into premature labor at just 24 weeks. Little Calie was born weighing just 1 pound, 9 ounces.
Calie spent the first 84 days of her life at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, and those early weeks included some tense times, including heart surgery when she was two weeks old. But that was nine years ago. Calie is now enjoying a variety of interests including, violin, basketball, and cheerleading.
As Calie's mom says, "of all of life's miracles, the biggest ones come in the smallest packages."
