Know the Warning Signs of Stroke

Quick response is key!

Time is brain when you or someone you love is having a stroke. The sooner a person receives medical attention, the better the chance for survival and recovery.

Seek emergency care -- call 9-1-1 if you or a loved one has any of the following:

  • Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
  • Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
  • Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
  • Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
  • Sudden severe headache with no known cause.
