Primary Care

ProHealth Care Medical Associates provides primary care in 21 locations throughout Waukesha County and beyond, bringing extraordinary health care close to home. ProHealth Care's primary care physicians are experienced, board-certified physicians who are dedicated to keeping you and your family healthy.

Family

A Family Medicine doctor cares for you over your lifetime, helping you stay healthy, providing medical care when needed and managing your medical care when necessary. A family medicine physician cares for you throughout your entire lifespan. Some family medicine physicians also practice obstetrics.

Internal Medicine

An Internal Medicine doctor cares for you over your lifetime, helping you stay healthy, providing medical care when needed and managing your medical care when necessary. Internal Medicine physicians provide care to adults ages 18 and older.

Pediatrics

Pediatricians are physicians who care for infants, children, adolescents and young adults. They play a vital role in your child's life - helping them grow up healthy, safe and happy. Children have different healthcare needs than adults - both medical and emotional. Choosing a pediatrician gives you the reassurance that your child is being treated by an expert in children's health.

Your pediatrician will manage your child's total health care needs, including:

  • Growth and development
  • Illnesses
  • Nutrition
  • Immunizations
  • Injuries
  • Physical Fitness
  • Behavior
  • Emotional or family problems
  • Learning and other school problems
  • Preventing and dealing with drug abuse
  • Puberty and other teen issues
  • Pediatricians may work with teachers and other adults in child care centers, schools, and after-school programs. If your child has a very special or complex problem, your pediatrician can refer him or her to another specialist for further help, if needed.

    IM/Pediatrics

Some physicians are board certified in both Internal Medicine (IM) and Pediatrics. This dual board-certification allows a physician to care for patients from birth all the way through their adult years. ProHealth Care Medical Associates offers Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at several locations.

    OB/GYN

Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) is the field of medicine dedicated solely to conditions of concern to women. Obstetrics is the care of a woman during pregnancy and during and after childbirth. Gynecology is the study and care of the female reproductive system. An OB/GYN specialist combines these two disciplines to provide comprehensive care for women.

    A primary care physician:

    • links you to the latest advances in health care technology and qualified specialists when you need them.
    • provides quick and responsive care when you're ill.
    • knows your family situation, history and past response to treatment.
