What is Home Care and Hospice?

Home Care

Home care encompasses a wide range of health and social services. These services are delivered in the comfort of home to recovering, disabled, chronically or terminally ill persons in need of medical, nursing, social, or therapeutic treatment and/or assistance with the essential activities of daily living.

ProHealth Home Care's highly skilled nurses provide a wide array of services, including medication education and management, injections and intravenous therapy, wound care, nutritional counseling, bowel and bladder management and much more.  Our physical, occupational and speech therapists address home safety concerns, strengthening and rehabilitation needs.  Our licensed social workers offer assistance with community resources, financial assistance and supportive care and counseling to patients and families.

Hospice

Hospice is a comprehensive care program for patients and families facing terminal illness. It's a preferred choice for many patients because it affirms life and looks at death as a normal process. Hospice neither hastens nor postpones death; it offers care that promotes dignity and quality of life rather than curative treatment to prolong life. Hospice deals with the emotional, social and spiritual impact of the disease on the patient and the patient's loved ones.

ProHealth Home Care & Hospice offers in-home hospice care through ProHealth Home Hospice and residential hospice care through AngelsGrace Hospice.
