ProHealth Care's Center for Breast Care is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons, and is the only NAPBC accredited center in Waukesha County. Risk assessment
Cancer Genetic Risk Assessment Program – a program designed to evaluate your risk of breast cancer based on heredity and other related factors. The program includes education, individualized risk assessment, screenings and more.
Diagnostic services
Full field digital mammography
– a mammography method where digital images are adjusted on a computer to enhance tissue differences and decrease the need for additional images.
Breast MRI – MRI produces high-resolution images of the breast using a magnetic field instead of radiation. This noninvasive, usually painless medical test that offers important information about many breast conditions that cannot obtained by other imaging modalities, such as mammography or ultrasound.
Stereotactic and Ultrasound Needle Biopsy – the latest biopsy techniques combine precision digital X-ray and ultrasound imaging to pinpoint the area of concern.
Treatment services
Radiation oncology,
including
MammoSite – aprecisely targeted, high-dose radiation treatment option for women with breast cancer. By placing the radiation source in the space left where a tumor has been removed, MammoSite works from the inside to kill cancer cells. Treatment with MammoSite dramatically cuts the number of treatments needed to just one week.
Medical oncology – including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and drug therapy.
Breast surgery – including lumpectomy, partial or segmental mastectomy or quadrantectomy, total mastectomy, modified radical mastectomy, radical mastectomy.
Clinical research programs – many of our breast cancer patients participate in national clinical research programs established by the National Cancer Institute.

Immediate results from mammograms and, if an ultrasound or stereotactic biopsy is needed, they are done same-day for added convenience and reassurance.
- Breast biopsies are performed only by dedicated breast imaging radiologists
- Pathologists that review biopsies and specialize in breast cancer diagnosis
- Every breast cancer patient has a care coordinator who makes appointments, provides support and guidance throughout all aspects of treatment. Our care coordinators are certified in oncology nursing.
- The physician team meets weekly to discuss individual breast cancer cases and carefully consider the best treatment plan. This multidisciplinary conference gives patients multiple second opinions representing a variety of specialties.
