That's because we're solely dedicated to this specialty. In fact, we were the first comprehensive, multidisciplinary prostate cancer care center in southeast Wisconsin. And, we are one of only five cancer treatment programs selected to participate in the Association of Community Cancer Centers' (ACCC's) Prostate Cancer "Best Practices" Project.

The Regional Cancer Center was chosen as as a model program for its multidisciplinary approach to prostate cancer treatments, open communication and patient access to state-of-the-art cancer technology within the community. We offer many specialized cancer care services not found anywhere else.

Prostate cancer is the nation's most commonly diagnosed cancer, yet few men understand their diagnosis and cancer treatment options. Our prostate cancer treatment services

We coordinate and administer your care through a team of cancer specialists. A dedicated cancer care coordinator makes the your journey easier, guiding you through all aspects of your diagnosis and treatment. 

• Urologic surgery, including minimally invasive prostatectomy, which reduces the risk of post-surgical impotence.
• Radiation oncology, including radioactive 'seeds,' or brachytherapy and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) are treatment options that allow our specialists to more precisely target your cancer.
• Medical oncology, including hormone therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and drug therapy.

Leading technology in cancer care

• The Center for Prostate Cancer Care was one of the first sites in southeast Wisconsin to offer the da Vinci® Surgical System for robotic prostatectomy. Robotic prostatectomy offers some patients the benefits of less pain and faster recovery. To date, our experienced team has performed hundreds of these high-tech procedures.
• CyberKnife® is a very precise form of radiation cancer treatment that attacks tumor cells while minimizing injury to healthy tissues surrounding the area. CyberKnife can be a great option to treat your prostate cancer.
• We were the first cancer treatment center in southeast Wisconsin to offer the BAT system — the newest technology available for improving prostate cancer radiation treatment.

Our patients have access to clinical research specific to prostate cancer. In fact, the Regional Cancer Center has been recognized as one of the most successful community-based oncology clinical research programs in the country for enrolling a record number of patients in cancer clinical and prevention trials.
