From advanced diagnostic capabilities to sophisticated treatment options, if your heart beats too slowly, irregularly or rapidly, ProHealth Care's electrophysiology services can help.
Electrophysiology is a branch of cardiac care that deals with the electrical activity of the heart, or the way it beats. Patients who have an irregular heartbeat, or arrhythmia, may require electrophysiology studies to find the source of the problem.
ProHealth Care has board-certified electrophysiologist physicians who specialize in the latest proven treatments to correct abnormal heartbeats or minimize their risk.
ProHealth Care is one of just a few sites in the metro Milwaukee area to offer Verismo technology for the treatment of a heart rhythm problem called atrial fibrillation. Verismo allows electrophysiologists to take a CT image of the heart, download the patient's actual heart images, and use the images to help locate the area of abnormal heart tissue that's causing irregular heartbeats.
This process, called cardiac mapping, is much more precise using Verismo technology rather than the standard virtual map of the heart. Once the heart is mapped, the electrophysiologist can neutralize the abnormal cells using a technique called electrophysiology ablation.
ProHealth Care offers comprehensive electrophysiology services, including the following:
