Outpatient Vascular Services

Why our vascular services?

Our expert team

  • ProHealth Care's Regional Heart & Vascular Center has the first fully accredited vascular laboratory in Southeast Wisconsin, outside of those housed in university settings.
  • Our staff of physicians includes more board-certified vascular surgeons than any other non-teaching facility in Southeast Wisconsin.

Advanced technology and vascular services

ProHealth Care has made a significant investment in new technology that makes it possible for our physicians to perform even the most complex cardiac and vascular procedures.

  • Breakthrough Peripheral Vascular Disease Treatment for patients with calcified plaque, using the revolutionary Diamondback 360 Orbital Atherectomy System. This FDA-approved device uses a special orbiting laser to sand away plaque and restore blood flow while keeping surrounding tissue safe.

  • Endoluminal stent-grafting, a new minimally invasive alternative to major surgery for some patients who suffer an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), a life-threatening condition. The procedure has a 95 percent technical success rate and joins balloon angioplasty as one of the minimally invasive procedures available for vascular disease, providing shorter hospital stays, smaller incisions, and less pain and discomfort.

  • Advanced Cardio/Vascular Digital Imaging: our state-of-the-art Phillips Allura FD-20 X-ray angiography system captures information at a resolution four times greater than conventional angiography systems and can produce reconstructed 3D CT-like imaging of vascular structures.

What are vascular diagnostic studies?

Vascular diagnostic tests help your physician determine exactly what is going on with your heart. Each year, our expert clinical staff perform more than 3,600 tests through our Cardiovascular Services Department. These services include:
