Vegetable oil spray
3 large garlic cloves, minced OR 1 ½ tsp. minced garlic OR ½ tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. dried oregano, crumbled
½ tsp. salt-free lemon pepper (available at http://www.penzeys.com/)
1 lb. boneless beef top sirloin steak (about 1 ¼ inches thick), all visible fat discarded
Preheat the broiler. Lightly spray a broiler pan with vegetable oil spray.
In a small bowl, stir together the garlic, oregano, and lemon pepper. Press into both sides of the steak. Place the steak on one side of the rack in the broiler pan. With the surface of the meat 3 to 4 inches from the heat, broil for 21 to 26 minutes, or until the steak is medium-rare to medium doneness, turning once. Cut crosswise into slices and serve.
Note: May grill outside if desired.
