1 cup onion, chopped 1 cup green pepper, chopped 1 cup celery, chopped 1 tsp. canola oil 1 (8-oz.) can tomato sauce, no-salt-added ¼ cup vinegar ¼ cup ketchup, no-salt-added 1 Tbsp. brown sugar ½ tsp. garlic, crushed 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Dash Tabasco ½ cup re-hydrated textured soy protein or 1 (12-oz) pkg. frozen, refrigerated soy meat-like crumbles 6 whole wheat buns or English muffins
Sauté over medium heat in non-stick pan with 1 tsp. oil the onion, green pepper and celery, adding 1-2 Tbsp. water if needed.
Add remaining ingredients except buns. Simmer 3 minutes until heated through. Serve on whole wheat buns.
