2012 Walks for Cancer

The 2012 ProHealth Care Walks for Cancer

Cancer is a tragic part of life for many in our community. It will touch almost one of every four lives, and it is second only to heart disease as a cause of death. The three annual ProHealth Care's Walks for Cancer have been organized to help change these statistics and show support in our community for cancer patients, families and survivors.

Join us at one of our three walks on Saturday, May 5 to help raise funds to benefit local cancer research, education, supportive services and more — right in Waukesha County. All of the donations support the Regional Cancer Center in the community where the walk takes place. For registration information, contact the Walk that interests you.

Walks Annual Team Leader Kick Off Meetings — February 2012

Mark your calendars and plan to attend an upcoming team leader kick off or informational session for the annual ProHealth Care Walks for Cancer to be held Saturday, May 5 at three walk locations. At the upcoming February meetings, we’ll share valuable information and networking opportunities for team leaders. Learn more about registering and fundraising, pick up brochures and event materials, meet other team captains, share tips on successful team recruitment and management. Also, hear about how the dollars raised from the walks are put to work at our Regional Cancer Centers.

RiverWalk for Breast Cancer (Waukesha)

Saturday, February 4, 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., Team Captain and Informational Kick Off, Waukesha Memorial Treiber E

Thursday, February 9, 3:30 – 7 p.m., Team Captain and Informational Open House, Waukesha Memorial Garden Grille. Stop by at your convenience to pick up your individual or team materials. A special program is scheduled from 5:30 – 6:15 p.m. that will feature instructions on how to use the website, a presentation from our 2012 Walk ambassador, and an update on the impact of the dollars at work in the community.
