Description

Learn information about opioids, signs and symptoms of an overdose, and how to administer naloxone. Naloxone (Narcan) is a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose. It can very quickly restore normal respiration to a person whose breathing has slowed or stopped as a result of overdosing with heroin or prescription opioid pain medications. This training is free and naloxone kits will be available to adults who attend the training.

Funding for this material and training was made possible by Wisconsin Prescription Drug/Opioid Overdose-Related Deaths Prevention Project (WI-PDO) (#SPO22112) from SAMHSA (the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). This grant is being administered by WI Department of Health Services Division of Care and Treatment Services.
