Richard J. Yanchar, PhD

Specialties: Clinical Psychology, Pain Management

Practice Philosophy
“The best care for patients with chronic pain often comes from a multidisciplinary team. My role on this team is to help each patient understand the individual pain process, to recognize useful coping strategies, reduce the emotional suffering due to pain and take charge of functioning as much as possible. Collaboration with the physician team members, including the patient’s primary care physician, is important for the overall success of pain management. This team approach can multiply the positive outcomes for our patients.”
