Beat Cancer Boot Camp

There are many challenges ahead of you. Beat Cancer Boot Camp is designed to condition your body and mind for healing. Our group sessions include a variety of exercises designed to be effective and challenging for all fitness levels as you move through various stages of cancer treatment and recovery.

For Strength
Dealing with cancer is a physical and mental challenge. Beat Cancer Boot Camp can help you build strength and stamina to overcome the obstacles ahead.

For Health
Regular exercise can give you the mental edge and self-esteem you’ll need to take charge of your health. Reconnect your mind and body through fitness.

For Life
Together we will celebrate our accomplishments, share stories and set goals. Beat Cancer Boot Camp provides a supportive environment for those wishing to stay active during cancer treatment and beyond.

Regular exercise can help you relieve stress and anxiety. Combat fatigue. Reduce nausea. Improve immune function. Ease muscle and joint pain to enhance mobility. Our unique program is designed to be effective and challenging. We combine stretching and strength-training to build stamina needed for daily activities.

Beat Cancer Boot Camp is not just for survivors, it’s also for spouses, family members, friends – anyone who wants to join the battle against cancer. Sign up with a fitness buddy – someone who provides extra motivation to keep you focused on your goals.

Dates: June 26th to August 19th

You can choose to attend classes once a week, twice a week or three times a week. Days, times and locations are listed below.  You can choose the location that works best for you - no need to let us know in advance. Please choose from the following options and register for the frequency that is right for you.

Mondays
Location: UW Cancer Center at ProHealth Care, 3rd floor conference room or outside on the green space. Signs posted on Urgent Care front door indicating location upon arrival.
Time: 5:15 - 6:15 p.m.

Wednesdays
Location: West Wood Health & Fitness Center gym
Time: 5:15 - 6:15 p.m.

Saturdays
Location: West Wood Health & Fitness Center gym
Time: 8 - 9 a.m.

Register for one session a week. Cost: $25

Register for two sessions a week. Cost: $50

Register for three sessions a week. Cost: $65

Please bring a yoga mat, water and hand weights.
