Philosophy of care
“While there is much uncertainty to understanding an individual’s risk for developing cancer, genetic counseling allows patients and their families to address these uncertainties with emotional honesty and resilience. I will work together with patients to help them make informed decisions that prioritize their hopes, fears and personal values. I strive to provide empathetic and compassionate care, and to listen without judgement when helping patients navigate the benefits and limitations of cancer genetic testing. My goal is to ensure information feels actionable so they are able to make meaning out of life’s uncertainties.”
