About me

Philosophy of care

"I am humbled by the complexity of the individual self and different paths to healing. My interactions with patients and the relationships that evolved have taught me more about medicine than any other tool in my formal training. I enjoy partnering with patients to understand their individual needs and believe the healing process lies within each person. My role in facilitating this process is with guidance and support, and striving towards mutual respect and ultimately a therapeutic relationship. The practice of medicine is most successful when we interact with others in the same way we would like ourselves and family to be treated."

While I have great respect for Dr Geroulis, and trust him implicitly, I came away from my appointment very confused. I have a feeling that the cause of that confusion is due more to the disorder that seems to be on my horizon, than anything else. I know that getting to a diagnosis will take some time and I'm going to have to be patient and be more assertive when I don't understand what is being said by the Doctor.
