Philosophy of care

“Life is not easy — everyone experiences stressors that can affect their emotional and mental well-being. My goal is to help patients maximize their strengths to overcome their challenges allowing them to flourish. I want my patients to feel relaxed and comfortable so we can openly discuss their situation. Using a blend of psychotropic medications and recommendations for therapy, I create individualized treatment plans enabling patients to live happier and more satisfying lives."

I've been seeing Dr. Heaton for roughly 6 years. And I can honestly say that she is the best psychiatrist that I have had. I have suffered with mental illness since childhood and have seen multiple psychiatrist. Dr. Heaton is different when I am having problems with systems or meds she always turns things around for me. She is so good and knowledgeable about medications and her patience is just incredible! Because of Dr. Heaton knowledgeable skill in treating people with mental illness I can honestly say that I am the healthiest I've ever been with my mental health Thank you Dr. Heaton

Was video visit. It is very good. This service is available as it leads to fewer cancelled appts. and a more comfortable interaction which results in better outcomes.
