Philosophy of care

"My goal for every patient is to combine effective cancer treatment with excellence in quality of life. While advancements in technology and tools continue to guide the treatment of cancer and prolong life, I believe the most important aspect of providing care is the patient, their family and the health care team that is formed around them. Strong patient – provider relationships built on trust and hope are central to my practice."

Dr. Hwang and his wife enjoy spending time together hiking, camping, sailing and exploring the outdoors. He plays Ultimate, a team sport played with a flying disc (originally known as ultimate Frisbee).
