About me

Philosophy of care

“I work closely with our therapists to provide clinically-proven treatments for anxiety disorders and depression to minimize their impact on people’s lives. I routinely recommend cognitive behavioral therapy, but will also prescribe medication when appropriate. I have three goals during therapy — to have patients function better, to use medications only when necessary, and to discontinue medications when they are no longer indicated.”

Honestly - I go in, and it's like: He doesn't understand me? He speaks very little. I have no clue how to respond to what he does say. I feel uncomfortable. He's been... my medication which has only made me worse. He refuses to let my dad in to my appointments. Apparently I can't see a therapist unless I go to a partial hospital program? Why?

I stayed at Waukesha Memorial Hospital recently, and hope I am surveyed on that experience.
