I noticed my son's eye was red and bothering him, but he didn't have the usual discharge that he has when he has pink eye. So I sent a message to his provider asking if it could be pink eye, even without the discharge. Instead of answering my question, they told me he should be seen. So I hauled both of my kids a half hour away to see Carrie L and she told me "No, that's not pink eye. If it was, there would be discharge." I was very frustrated that I wasted time and money to be told exactly what I had asked in a mychart message. Had I been told that over a message, I would not have brought him in. I've been to Carrie's office three times over the last few years. The receptionist and triage nurses are very friendly, but I haven't been impressed with Carrie in general. She sometimes makes me feel embarrassed for bringing my children in to the doctor, or like I'm doing something wrong with regards to my children's health. She may not mean to do that, but I've left her office twice feeling very defeated as a parent.

My daughter has always been terrified as she enters a consult room but with Carrie she has been doing really well. She's overall a good care option for my daughter. I feel like her nurse doesn't listen and doesn't let me talk though.

The scheduler told us the appointment was for a different office so we had to rush to this one instead. My child has had diarrhea for two weeks at that point and no tests were suggested but instead brushed off to just be "what's going around". Well what's going around says it should be gone by now and it's going on three weeks. Very disappointing to spend the money and time to be seen and have nothing truely done or considered to help him. Forcing me to likely have to bring him back again to be told the same thing.

Every time I take my son to her for symptoms, lasting more than three days which have resulted in either strep throat or another diagnosis requiring antibiotics, I have had to make the decision to perform either a throat culture or an nasal swab. If I'm paying for a doctor visit in order to get a diagnosis, school excuse for my son or a prescription for a bacterial infection, I would expect the doctor to make the decision or recommendation for these tests to be performed. And this most recent visit, he had a sore throat, a fever, and no other cold symptoms. She said his throat was red, and I had to request the strep culture. It was positive! Ridiculous!
