About me

Philosophy of care

“I chose to practice dermatology because of its interesting mix of different types of medicine: primary care, surgery and microscopic work. Dermatologic conditions often have a significant impact on a person’s comfort, self-esteem and overall quality of life, and I enjoy helping patients address those issues. Because dermatology is such a visual field, one can easily see patients improve, and it is very rewarding to see the positive impact that improvement has on their lives. Thorough care, open communication and patient education are key elements of my practice. When patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, they are empowered to more actively participate in their care.”

Doctor Miller was very thorough. She noticed an unusual growth on my neck and had it biopsied to determine whether it was anything serious. It turned out to be cancerous. She caught something that might have caused very serious problems.

Receptionist: appeared annoyed when I asked to confirm our current insurance. The ProHealth care system has continued to have my old insurance still in the system with my spouse's for years even after requests to update and remove old and receiving incorrect bills as a result. Now, my spouse's insurance has changed this year. Patient care: best practice would be to talk through what you are doing before you're doing it. Example, when my young child is face down and you need to exam their privates, it's advised to explain what and why your doing what your doing before doing so so they understand and know what's appropriate versus not. Helps build trust with patient. Overall, doctor was kind and courteous.

She removed a questionable mole for me & let me know a few days later that it wasn't cancerous - (via phone call).
