When I went in for a blood draw they couldn't get the sample and tried to blame me for not holding my arm straight. Not to keen on people pointing blame in a professional setting like this. I have a severe phobia of needles. I did it two times before this and they got the sample.

My experience with Dr Toro-Perez and her staff has always been a pleasant one. This most recent visit, I was experiencing a significant increase in my blood sugar level, along with weight gain, that I had not been able to control with diet & exercise, which had me alarmed. Dr. Toro-Perez talked me through options and discussed a plan to move forward as well as monitor progress/failure. She knows her patients well enough to know how much and how little explanation is necessary, so that I am leaving the visit not befuddled, or irritated, but confident that my Dr hears me and is working with me. I feel a sense of relief. I was recently discussing some health issues with a relative and realized that this confidence in their doctors is not necessarily commonplace. I am grateful for Dr. Toro-Perez's abilities and manner.

This was my first visit to Dr. Toro Perez. I was seeking a new primary care physician as mine was leaving her practice. Dr. Toro Petez came highly recommended & I now can see why. She was very knowledgeable re my past medical history & current medications. She asked & answered pertinent questions with ease & provided needed explanations. I was very happy with the entire appointment & look forward to her becoming my doctor.
