About me

Philosophy of care

"I chose family medicine because I want to be able to care for my patients over a lifetime. I enjoy getting to know my patients and not just fixing their problems. One of the great advantages of family medicine is the ability to care for and get to know entire families and not just individuals."

Both Misty and Dr. Trampe put me at ease about the visit. They both looked me in the eye when I talked and actually listened to what I said. I felt very comfortable during my visit. They are both positive and encouraging.

Doctor Trampe is a good doctor.

My expectations of a family physician regularly exceed the care I receive. There is too much decentralization and my family doctor does not seem as involved in my care as I want them to be. I was referred for a Holter monitor, for example, and provided no info on how to obtain it. Also, I wear a CGM for my diabetes and my data are available online for ProHealth. Dr. Trampe's office does not view it as their responsibility to use these data to help advise me about my blood sugar management. I would expect that the doctor would review the info prior to my quarterly diabetes check-ups but she does not see this as her responsibility. I find this extremely disappointing and a troubling quality of care issue.
