“My approach to patient care is rooted in open, straightforward and honest communication. Cardiothoracic surgery often involves complex diagnoses and difficult decisions, and I believe patients deserve a clear understanding of their condition, treatment options and what to expect throughout their care. Every patient brings unique values, concerns and goals to their care. My role is to help them understand their options, answer their questions and work together to develop a treatment plan that is right for them. I also recognize that undergoing surgery can be overwhelming for patients and their families. Throughout the experience, I strive to provide each patient with the same compassion, respect and attention I would want for my own family.”
