Pediatric rehabilitation services move to Pewaukee
ProHealth Care offers pediatric rehabilitation services to help children with physical and developmental challenges reach their full potential. Specialized therapists work with patients to increase mobility, build independence and enhance communication. Therapists design play-based treatment plans and encourage family involvement so therapy can continue at home, between appointments.
ProHealth’s Pediatric Rehabilitation Services recently moved to a new location. The team is now located at N14W23800 Stone Ridge Drive in Pewaukee.
The new clinic offers spacious treatment rooms, updated equipment and a welcoming environment for young patients and their families. There are 12 rooms for speech, three for physical therapy and four that can be used for physical and occupational therapy. There is also a kitchen, three dedicated feeding rooms, a quiet sensory room and a large sensory gym equipped to support children as their treatment plans evolve.
The pediatric rehabilitation team offers a full range of services for infants, toddlers and school-aged children, including:
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Speech therapy
- Pelvic floor therapy (to help address bowel and bladder dysfunction)
- Aquatic therapy (offered in the pool at ProHealth West Wood Health & Fitness Center in Pewaukee)
- Lactation and bottle feeding
- Feeding for picky eaters
- Serial casting and splinting
- Enhanced NICU follow-up services
The clinic also treats children who are facing or may encounter physical or developmental challenges due to cancer, chronic conditions, developmental delays, congenital and genetic conditions, feeding and swallowing disorders, hearing loss and other limitations.
