Pre-travel counseling and consultation

While in the planning stages of your trip, make an appointment for your personalized travel counseling session. The consultation is a two-part process that takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes and includes:

  • Assessment of your current health (medical conditions, allergies, immunization history)

  • Assessment of health risks associated with trip destination, duration and itinerary

  • Essential preventive advice (preventing and treating traveler's diarrhea and other illnesses, personal safety, travel insurance, etc.)

  • Option for vaccination and boosters, including hepatitis A & B, yellow fever, typhoid, rabies and Japanese encephalitis

  • Necessary written materials for international travel — CDC/WHO travel information, cutomized Travax® packet, vaccine information sheets and other applicable handouts
