Cancer nutrition counseling

ProHealth Care offers personalized cancer nutrition counseling to support strength, ease side effects and help the body respond to treatment.

Cancer nutrition support

Good nutrition plays an important role during cancer treatment and beyond. It can help your body stay strong, manage side effects and support your overall well-being.

At ProHealth Care, registered dietitians specially trained in cancer care are part of the care team and understand the unique nutrition needs of patients during and after treatment.

Dietary guidance during cancer care

Our dietitians work with patients throughout their cancer journeys to help manage symptoms and support nutrition needs, including:

  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Dry mouth or dehydration
  • Changes in taste or smell
  • Weight loss or gain

They can also help you:

  • Find foods that work best during treatment.
  • Maintain strength and energy.
  • Adjust your nutrition as your needs change.
  • Build healthy habits during survivorship.

Connect with a dietitian

Patients who are interested in meeting with a dietitian can contact their oncology nurse navigator or any member of their care team to get connected with a member of the Nutrition Services team.
