ProHealth Care achieves national IT distinction as a ‘Most Wired’ health system

ProHealth Care has been designated as a 2016 Most Wired® Hospital and Health System by the American Hospital Association’s Health Forum.

The Most Wired survey examines how organizations are leveraging information technology to improve performance for value-based health care in the focus areas of infrastructure, business and administrative management; quality and safety; and clinical integration. Organizations whose responses reflect "core" development across all focus areas make the Most Wired list.

In announcing Health Care’s Most Wired, the American Hospital Association underscored that recipients of this honor are redefining the way they provide care in their communities, using technology to build patient engagement, continuing to make electronic health records more useful and shareable, using data to manage costs and efficiencies, and taking strong actions to ensure that health data is secure.

“ProHealth Care is proud to be recognized as a leader in the use of health care technology to further patient care,” said Christine Bessler, ProHealth’s chief information officer and vice president of information technology. “Our team of clinicians and technologists has worked hard to implement proven technology designed to positively impact both the care we deliver and the experience of our patients.”

ProHealth is one of 364 organizations that met the criteria for core information technology development among 680 survey respondents across the U.S.

Hospitals & Health Networks magazine sponsors the annual Most Wired industry benchmark survey designed to measure the level of IT adoption in U.S. hospitals and health systems. Health Forum, an American Hospital Association information company, distributes, collects and analyzes the survey data.
