ProHealth Care provides prescribed COVID-19 testing at four locations
People who have symptoms of COVID-19 can be tested for the disease at four ProHealth Care urgent care locations in Waukesha County.
If you develop influenza-like disease symptoms such as headache, cough, fever, chills, shortness of breath, aches and pain, gastrointestinal illness, sore throat, or sudden loss of taste or smell, call your health care provider’s office or a COVID-19 hotline as soon as possible – before going to a health care facility. You should stay at home and schedule a virtual visit or health care appointment. If you experience severe symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, call 911.

On-site urgent care is another option. You can make an urgent care reservation at ProHealthCare.org/UrgentCare. Reservations are highly recommended to reduce patient waiting times and allow the care team to prepare to assist you. Patients also can just walk in to an urgent care site.
A provider’s order is required for a COVID-19 test. An order can be obtained during a virtual visit, office visit or urgent care visit.
“It’s important for anyone who is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms to connect with a medical professional first, before seeking care in person,” said Art Coffey, MD, ProHealth Care’s chief physician operations officer. “ProHealth’s COVID-19 testing is provided with the patient’s care and convenience in mind. We want to make sure that people are tested at the right time and that they are connected with their provider – to help ensure the best patient experience and care.”
Patients with provider’s orders will be directed to a ProHealth Medical Group urgent care location in Brookfield, Oconomowoc, Pewaukee or Big Bend Road in Waukesha for testing. Prescribed tests are provided during regular business hours, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Patient Christie Jazwiecki said the test was convenient and quick.
“I went onto the urgent care website, made my appointment, and was able to get in right away,” she said. “Everybody was very nice and informative. It was important for me to know what symptoms they were testing for and what I should do. They were very thorough.”
Test results are posted in the private, secure MyChart online patient portal immediately after they are received from the testing laboratory, typically within three days. They are also provided to the patient’s provider for follow-up care, if needed.
