Scholarship applications are available for health-related education

Local residents pursuing health-related education can now apply for ProHealth Care and Diversity Scholarships.

The scholarships are designed for Waukesha County high school seniors or graduates, Waukesha County residents, as well as current ProHealth Care employees.

Eligible fields of study include:

  • Anesthesia technology
  • Cardiovascular technology
  • Interventional technology
  • Medical or medical lab technologist
  • Medical sonography
  • Nursing (BSN or ADN)
  • Occupational therapy
  • Pathologist assistant
  • Pharmacist
  • Physical therapy
  • Physician assistant
  • Radiation therapy
  • Respiratory therapy
  • Speech and language pathology
  • Surgical technology, including surgical assistant
  • X-ray technologist

The scholarships are funded by ProHealth’s medical staff and Volunteer Services and offered through the ProHealth Care Foundation.

Nine scholarships of up to $2,000 each will be awarded for the upcoming academic year. Funds may be applied to any school or college accredited in the field in which the grant is made. Two additional diversity scholarships totaling $8,000 also will be awarded.

Since the scholarship program began in 1957, 750 scholarships totaling more than $1 million have been awarded.

Scholarship eligibility information and applications are available at LearnMore.ScholarsApply.org/ProHealthCare/. Completed applications are due by 3 p.m. on May 16. Students pursuing a pre-medicine degree are not eligible for the program.
